Top Ten Tuesday- Creepy Book Covers

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme created over at The Broke and The Bookish.  Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today (October 29th), I'm one of them :)

Today's Topic

Top Ten Scariest/Creepiest Book Covers

1.  The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer By Michelle Hodkin- I like that the two people are like floating and at first I thought that the guy was drowning the girl... actually maybe I still think that.
2.  All Unquiet Things By Anna Jarzab- Dead body... creepy!
3.  Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children By Ransom Riggs- Creepy little girls freak me out.
4.  Ten By Gretchen McNeil- Just finished this.  It's perfect for this time of year!  I love the island and the red font.
5.  Shadowlands By Kate Brian- I think it's the birds that make it creepy.  I don't like black birds at all.

6.  In the Shadow of Blackbirds By Cat Winters- Old fashion looking photos always look a little creepy and the mask doesn't help.
7.  The Rot & Ruin books By Jonathan Maberry- These covers are SO scary!
8.  Asylum By Madeleine Roux- Weirdo girl and cool creepy font.  I like it!
9.  Bad Girls Don't Die By Katie Alender- I can't see the face and that scares me.
10.  Anna Dressed in Blood By Kendare Blake- The title and just EVERYTHING about the cover is creepy.

Happy Halloween Everyone!!!  Which covers made your list???

  7. The curtain on Bad Girls Don't Die looks like a shroud. Creepy! I picked Anna too - there must be something about young girls that scare people as I'm seeing that cover and the Peregrine one over and over. Here's my TTT

  9. LOVE R.L Stine! I'm disappointed Asylum hasn't gotten good creep factor reviews. It had such potential with the covers and pictures! My boyfriends absolutely loves the Rot & Ruin series, so I think you would like it!

Great list and thanks for stopping by Swept Away By Books!

  11. In the Shadow of Blackbirds was wonderful. I hope you read it soon! And I always point this out to people, because I've found that not everyone notices this right away - but do you see the ghost hovering on the left side?

    Thanks for visiting!
