Top Ten Books I Could Reread Forever
- I'm not a big rereader-- mostly because I'm a SLOW reader, so I'm usually always playing catch-up with new releases and backlist books I haven't had a chance to read for the first time yet. BUT, if I was going to pick 10 books to reread forever-- these would be my choices today (it could and probably would change tomorrow).
1. Ready Player One by Ernest Cline- I could read about 80's nostalgia all the time really.
2. I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson- GORGEOUS writing.
3. Crash and Burn by Michael Hassan- I love immature teenage boy humor.
4. Some Girls Are by Courtney Summers- MEAN GIRLS!!!
5. Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver- MORE MEAN GIRLS!!!
6. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling- I mean, Harry Potter is so magical and special, I couldn't leave it off this list (plus, it's one of the only books I actually have reread in the last 10 years).
7. Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson- So special and powerful (PS-- I really need the new graphic novel version!!).
8. The Boyfriend List by E. Lockhart- I super love Ruby Oliver and need her in my life.
9. The Ghost and the Goth by Stacey Kade- Because Alona Dare is a rockstar.
10. The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen- I had to have a Sarah Dessen book on here, and this one is my most recent fave.
Which books would you want to reread all day/every day?
Yes to Harry Potter. I would love to listen to Ready Player One again. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI knew you would have some interesting books on your list (you always do). The Truth About Forever, Ruby Oliver, I'll Give You the Sun were all top reads for me, but I am most excited to see Before I Fall. Everyone always hates on that book, but I loved it so much!
ReplyDeleteOMG people hate on that book?? It's one my all-time forever faves!!
DeleteIs there anyone who would not say Harry Potter? And I'll Give You the Sun is so heartwarming and adorable. Still have to ready Ready Player One. I feel like I should get around to that before the movie comes out.
ReplyDeleteDO IT!!! You won't regret it!
DeleteOoh I still need to read Before I Fall! And I probably should re- read Ready layer One before the movie comes out.
ReplyDeleteI'm due for a re-read on Before I Fall! It was such a mind trip, I remember having such an intense book hangover when I finished.
ReplyDeleteYesss to I'll Give You the Sun! I almost put that one on my list. It's so good! I haven't read any of the others, though (well, except HP of course)
ReplyDeleteSo much yes to the Harry Potter series, and I'll Give You the Sun too, though I've only read it once so far. I really want to read the Speak graphic novel soon too.

Harry Potter was on my list this week too! Totally feel the not rereading much because of being a slow reader!

Hi! Yes please on Speak, The Truth About Forever and Before I Fall! :)

I started Before I Fall long ago, and haven't been able to get through it.That said, I feel like I'll like the film better; the repeat days on the page come across as too compact with too many repeats, whereas I feel like the film will be paced better. Someday I really want to try a Sarah Dessen novel AND 'Goth' is still on my eventual TBR. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to reread Ready Player One before the movie comes out. :)
