  1. I can't believe I forgot Sarah Dessen! Maybe it's because it's been a while since she's had a book out...I can't wait to read Saint Anything! I love E. Lockhart and Courtney Summers. It was hard to narrow it down to only ten. I would have added Maggie Stiefvater if it was a top 20. Great list!

  3. Great list! I can't believe I didn't think of R.L. Stine. I loved reading his books growing up. J.K. Rowling made my list as well. Sarah Dessen is another one of my favorites I forgot to add to my list. And the rest of the authors on your list are ones that I have been wanting to read. Love it!

  6. R.L. Stine! Amazing choice! I was obsessed with Goosebumps as a kid! I haven't actually read a lot of these authors. I really need to read A.S. King and Laurie Halse Anderson. I've heard great things. Great list!

  8. I've heard so many good things about AS King (though apparently some of the books are a little weird?) and Speak, but sadly haven't gotten to them yet! Speak is one I want to read for sure. R x

  10. I also called Sarah Dessen the Queen of Contemporary on my list--high five! My favorite book of hers is ALONG FOR THE RIDE. If you haven't read THE IMPOSSIBLE KNIFE OF MEMORY by Laurie Halse Anderson you should--it's my favorite book of 2014 and super duper good.

  11. I have yet to read anything by Laurie Halse Anderson, but I have no doubt that her books will be amazing. I already have several of her books on my TBR list, and I can't wait to read them because they all seem to be just my kind of read! :D
