New YA Releases for the Week of 10/25

These are the books I'm obsessing over this week:

By: Marcy Beller Paul
Mattie and Jolene used to be best friends until they had a falling out.  Now that it's senior year, Mattie wants to come out of social exile and be included.

By: Jennifer Donnelly
It's the late 1800's and New York aristocrat Jo is determined to find out the truth about her father's death.

By: J.C. Carlson
Teens volunteer to be test subjects for pharmaceutical companies in order to pay for their leisure activities.  When Audie's terminally ill boyfriend's birthday approaches, she volunteers for more test trials than ever in order to be able to give him something to remember.

By: Robin Talley
A couple grows apart when they go away to college.  One questions their gender identity, while the other doesn't know who she is without the relationship.

(The Heirs of Watson Island #2)
By: Martina Boone
The sequel to Compulsion, and the 2nd book in this Paranormal/Gothic trilogy.

(The Secret Diamond Sisters #3)
By: Michelle Maddow
The final book in this trilogy about sisters who find out that their dad is a billionaire Las Vegas hotel owner.

(The Cupcake Queen #2)
By: Heather Hepler
Sequel to 2009's The Cupcake Queen.

Happy Halloween week!!  This week I'm thinking about These Shallow Graves, Underneath Everything, and Placebo Junkies.  What books do you have/want??  Are you reading anything scary in honor of the holiday?

  3. Michelle, I just read UNDERNEATH EVERYTHING and it had a similar vibe to DANGEROUS GIRLS (where there's a kinda toxic girl friendship aspect) and I LOVED it. UNDERNEATH EVERYTHING is so beautifully written - it's a little slow but holy cow is it twisted. I hope you get to read it soon and we can both review it on our blogs :-)

  4. I've seen so many people rave about What We Left Behind but it completely flew under my radar! I'm definitely adding that to my " buy-now " list! I am so excited for These Shallow Graves and Placebo Junkies! This is so random, but I see that you're reading Romancing In The Dark In The City of Light, and also noticed that you mentioned the main character was harsh. GIRL, I could NOT stand Summer lol. She was so horrible, but that's a conversation for another time lol!

    1. Hahaha, glad to know I'm not the only one!! I definitely don't know how to take Summer. She starts off so unlikable and I don't see it getting any better. I need to understand why a character is like that if they're going to be so harsh and odd.

  5. I am pretty much backing off the new releases until Winter. Because I am going to RIP into that one when it finally comes out.
