Ashton and the Vincent cousins, Beau and Sawyer, grow up playing together. Mostly Beau and Ashton are partners in crime and Sawyer is bailing them out. But when they get older it's Sawyer who gets the girl and Beau is just left wondering what could've been. That is until Sawyer goes away one summer and Ashton gets curious about that spark she seems to have when she looks at Beau. You see Ashton is the daughter of a preacher and girlfriend of the golden boy. She's been trying to live up to that for 3 years now and she's getting sick of faking it. When Sawyer comes home, Ashton has to figure out if it's worth ruining her reputation for the towns sexy bad-boy... not to mention ruining a family.
You guys I loved this book!! It is seriously the HOTTEST romance book I've read in forever... and there wasn't even that many sexy scenes. It was that attraction between Ashton and Beau, I could just feel it. I'm not kidding when I say I had to take a cold shower after reading the first half, I was burning up!
I loved the sexual tension throughout the book and Beau in general. He is my new book-boyfriend and it's going to be hard for anyone to beat him out. Beau was the sexy bad-boy, but he had layers. He felt guilt and wanted what was best for his cousin/best friend, but he couldn't help himself. I know exactly what that feels like. Also for being a bad-boy raised without a real family, the way he cared about Ashton's happiness was just wow. If she was just mildly unhappy, it was his mission to make that right. Another thing about Beau was that he was totally giving-off the Nightingale Effect. He wasn't sick or anything, but he got a bad lot in life and it just makes you want to hold him and make it all better. And the fact that he's shirtless most of the time doesn't hurt.
The only thing I wanted was more backstory on how the trio got to how things are today. It was touched on, but I wanted more flashbacks or something. Also sometimes Ashton was a little weak for my tastes. She got it together by the end, but it was hard for me to get past her being little miss perfect for all those years just for a guy.
I'm very excited to read The Vincent Brothers, but I wish it was about Beau and not Sawyer :(
Overall: Yes read this!! It was the sexiest book I've read in a long time!
