New Books Out Week of 2/16

These are the books I'm obsessing over this week:

By: Laura Wiess
Before Rowan is a normal rebellious 16-year-old with over-protective parents.  After everything is different.  After her police officer father is unable to stop a shocking tragedy from taking place, he sinks into a deep depression and Rowan's life is never the same.

By: Tiffany Schmidt
When popular Brighton and new boy Jonah are stuck together for the night neither one is too happy.  Jonah wants nothing more than to go back to his old school and his old life.  Brighton embodies everything he hates in Cross Pointe: popular, fake, superficial... at least that's how he sees her.  Brighton's life is exhausting her.  Her father died one year ago today and she's been plastering a smile on her face ever since... not letting anyone see her weaknesses.  At 3 pm they're not feeling each other at all... what will happen by 3 am??

By: Melissa Kantor
Zoe and Olivia have been best friends since they were 4 and they have big plans for the future. So when Zoe finds out Olivia has cancer, she's completely devastated, but determined to be strong for her friend.

By: Susan Vaught
Never, Kentucky is a crossways between the dead and the living.  And in Never there is Lincoln Hospital, a state mental institution.  Forest doesn't know the secrets of this town when she begins working the graveyard shift at the hospital to save for college.  Soon she's confronted with unstable patients... and not all the patients are living.

By: Robert L. Slater
YA Post-Apocalyptic.  Lizzie finds herself in a world that is emptied by disease.  She thinks she might be alone, but soon finds other survivors and sets off on a mission across the country to find a family member that she thought was dead.

Other Books Out This Week:

So I definitely want to read Me Since You and Bright Before Sunrise.  I am seriously considering All is Silence because it sounds awesome... and Maybe One Day is a maybe.  I don't know if I want to read anymore cancer books.  I mean I feel like TFIOS laid down the gauntlet on that topic and nothing else will ever be as good.  Just my opinion :)

What new books are you going to read??

  1. Loved Me Since You, it such a heartbreaking and emotional book! I didn't really care to much for Insanity. Maybe One Day sounds really good, I'll definitely have to check it out!

  3. I read an ARC of MAYBE ONE DAY and its now one of my favorite reads of 2014. It's more about friendship than anything else…and dance. and learning to love your own skin, and be yourself. Ugh. It's a tear jerker for sure. <3
