New Books Out This Week 8/18

These are the new books I'm obsessing over this week:

If You Could Be Mine 

By: Sara Farizan

The story of two Iranian girls in love and having a secret relationship.  Then one of the girls is arranged to be married and the other one contemplates getting gender reassignment surgery in order to have their relationship accepted.

Asylum 

By: Madeleine Roux

A YA Photo-novel ala Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.  Dan is attending a summer College Prep program at New Hampshire College, but when he gets there he realizes the dorm he's staying in used to be an asylum for the criminally insane.

Doon (Doon #1) 

By: Carey Corp & Lorie Langdon

A YA Fantasy that is loosely based on the musical Brigadoon.  Veronica is spending her summer in Scotland with her best friend Mackenna.  After mysterious happenings occur, the girl wind up in a new world called Doon, a fairy-tale land with a dark-underbelly.

• The Bone Season (The Bone Season #1) By: Samantha Shannon- A new Dystopian series set in London 2059.
• The Life Beyond (The Other Life #2) By: Susanne Winnacker- A YA Sci-Fi Dystopian about a rabies mutation
• Shooting Scars (The Artists Trilogy #2) By: Karina Halle- 2nd book in this New Adult Contemporary Romance.
• This Side of Jealousy (The Innocents #2) By: Lili Peloquin- How the heck does this cover go with the first book's cover??  I don't get it.

And because I was on vaca last week, here's the best from the week of 8/11:

Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock By: Matthew Quick- This book is about a kid planning on killing hiis best friend and then himself.  It sounds completely explosive and totally interesting!
Love Me (The Keatyn Chronicles #4) By: Jillian Dodd- The 4th book following Keatyn Monroe and her love triangles.
Smash into You By: Shelly Crane- New Adult Contemporary Romance.
Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea By: April Genevieve Tucholke- A Ya Gothic Horror/Paranormal.  I freaking love the cover and the font used on it :)
False Sight (False Memory #2) By: Dan Krokos- 2nd book in this YA Sci-Fi trilogy
Fire With Fire (Burn for Burn #2) By: Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian- YES, YES, YES!!  So excited that this is out!!  Burn for Burn ended so crazily and I just gotta know what happens next!

So there's the books that are out this week (and last).  I'm dying to read Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock and Fire With Fire from last week.  What did you read already/going to read???
