Top Ten Tuesday- SWOON!

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme created over at The Broke and The Bookish. Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today (February 11th) I'm one of them :)

Today's Topic

Top Ten Books That Will Make You Swoon

I read a lot of Contemporary, but funnily enough, not a lot of *SWOON* Romantic books.  Most of the books I read have m/c's that are SO messed up that a big gushy romance would be inappropriate.  These are the 10 that actually fall into that swoon category :)

1.  Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins- Ummm yeah Paris and a hot British guy.... SWOON!!  PS can we talk about how it says Isla isn't coming out until August now?!?!?!?

2.  Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins- LOVE Cricket!!!

3.  Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry- Best couple ever!!  It's not all swoon in this book, but there is major chemistry between these 2 and Noah is hot!

4.  Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith- Really cute couple.  Kinda insta-love... but I give it a pass because I liked them together.

5.  Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler- I love HOT Hockey Boys!!

6.  The Fault in Our Stars by John Green- OK I was probably doing more sobbing than swooning while reading this one... but seriously Augustus is SO swoon-worthy that I couldn't not put him on the list.

7.  My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick- Sam & Jase FOREVER!!!!  I love the nice guys.

8.  The Vincent Boys by Abbi Glines- Not everyone was into this book... but I was!!  Ash and Beau had amazing chemistry to me.  I swooned hard for Beau Vincent.

9.  Confessions of an Angry Girl by Louise Rozett- So yeah Rose didn't always make this romance go smoothly... and she's pretty much clueless at all things sexy-times.  BUT I still loved reading about her crush on Jamie Forta... and I could see why she had it.

10.  Love and Other Perishable Items by Laura Buzo- Ok so I didn't include the couple here because while I liked the idea of them... where I come from it's illegal!!!  But I loved Chris hard in this book... especially when he was going through his whole self-loathing phase.  I just wanted to hold him!!

So happy Valentine's week everybody!!  Can't wait to see what guys/girls had you swooning!!!

  2. I like your top 10. I see some books in there that I have seen on other lists so they must be good. Off the subject, who did your blog design? Mine is in serious need of an overhaul! It is funny also I have a theme for everyday of the week BUT Tuesday. I have to keep working on it lol! Have a great day. Oh yeah and I entered the contest and realized I had done the blast for the same author. That was the highlight of my stupidity this am.

    1. The girl who did my blog, her name is Ishita and her blog is http://omgitsfishy.blogspot.com/ but I'm not sure if she's still designing or not. I love what she did for me, it turned out better than I expected! Getting a new blog design is SO fun!! And don't worry about the giveaway, I'm pretty sure hosts are allowed to enter (I entered too, so.... opps if we're not allowed!!). Thanks so much for stopping by!

  3. How perfect are Stephanie Perkins couples? They're just so lovely and I find myself wanting to reread those two books because after all the heartbreak and problems, her endings are so worthwhile!
Great list, Michelle! Happy Valentines day to you.

  5. Great list!! I LOVED Anna and Lola. I even included Anna on my top ten list this week. The Vincent Boys, My Life Next Door, Statistical Probability, and The Fault In Our Stars are all still on my TBR list. I did request TFIOS from the library and should hopefully be getting to that one very soon.

It look like I have a lot of swoon worthy reading ahead of me, which is awesome!!

    Here is my TTT: http://www.jacquesbooknook.blogspot.com/2014/02/top-ten-tuesday-books-that-will-make_11.html

  9. Bittersweet!!!! Great call on that book. I may need a reread for that one. Hockey boys and cupcakes. Kind of a weakness. HA. And I'm bummed that Isla is set fro August, but it is the day after my birthday and I pre-ordered it so Happy Birthday to me when it comes. :-)

  14. Looks like I've been missing some great swoon worthy guys. I've only read three on your list. My mom has been trying to get me to read the Anna & the French kiss series for awhile now but I still haven't *hangs head in shame*

  17. Definitely swooned over The Fault in Our Stars! I would totally date somebody like Augustus in real life. And his relationship with Hazel is so adorable. I haven't read the Pushing the Limits series yet, but I just got the first book for Christmas and I'm really excited to start it!

  18. I really should have added Hazel and Gus to my list. Well Gus, her certainly made me swoon. But what stays with me the most is the tears. I also would have added all of Katie McGarry's couples to my list if I could have.

    Great list!
