Top Ten Tuesday- Books on my Spring TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme created over at The Broke and The Bookish. Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today (March 18th) I'm one of them :)

Today's Topic

Top Ten Books On My Spring 2014 TBR List

1.  Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz- This is a book club pick for my book club and I'm SO excited to read it!!  I've heard great things!
2,  To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han- I so love Jenny Han!  This book sounds like so much fun!
3.  Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer- This is part of my "Reading out of my comfort zone" goal that I've decided on doing.  This is going to be my first major book that I try... and I'm nervous, but excited!
4.  What I Thought Was True by Huntley Fitzpatrick- Cannot wait for this book!!!
5.  We Were Liars by E. Lockhart- FINALLY E. Lockhart is going to be back in my life!!!
6.  Dorothy Must Die (#1) by Danielle Paige- This one looks really cool and interesting.  I hope it lives up to the hype!

7.  Biggest Flirts by Jennifer Echols- Another cute looking Contemporary.  I just can't help myself.
8.  Ask Again Later by Liz Czukas- I'm a sucker for books about prom.
9.  The Archived (#1) by Victoria Schwab- Another book club pick!!  It sounds really cool and is definitely out of my comfort zone... I'm excited!
10.  Don't Call Me Baby by Gwendolyn Heasley- "Nobody puts Baby in a corner"... okay maybe this book isn't about that, but it is about BLOGS!!!

I am SO EXCITED for Spring!!  I just want to wear cute clothes and feel the sun on my face.  For those of us in the cold weather states, Winter has been brutal this year... viva la SPRING!!  Oh yeah and I'm excited for all these books (and so many others that are coming out!!)... which books are you planning on reading this SPRING?

  1. I think you'll like Cinder. I didn't think it would be for me. Cyborgs? Sci fi? Aliens? Set in a Futuristic China? And it's a fairytale retelling? Sounds sort of ridiculous... but it's great and I think it's a series that gets better with each new instalment.

    1. Yeah all that stuff sounds a little nuts, but I'm glad to hear you say it's good! I'm definitely going to read it with an open mind.

  2. Don't Call Me Baby looks really good, that is not one I had heard of before, so thank you for that! Dorothy Must Die looks fun too.

I am so ready for spring, it has been an absolutely brutal winter for sure, I want to shed the layers and feel the sun. I always look forward to spring, but this year that much more.

  3. Ask Again Later sounds adorable! I've heard some great things about that book. Also, the hype for The Archived is unreal. I'm hoping to read that sometime soon. Biggest Flirts is amazing, too! Great picks :)

  4. Cinder AND The Archived!! Read them! Read them right now. Stop what you're doing and read those books immediately because they are both absolutely epic and fantastic and phenomenal. I only finished The Archived yesterday and I'm still in this post-book haze of excitement and wonder. :P

I've heard AMAZING things about Aristotle and Dante as well. I've really, really wanted to read it for at least a month now and just haven't had a chance to get my hands on it. Hopefully that happens soon, because I've heard so much raving about it that I don't want to wait any longer.

    Here's My Top Ten Tuesday!

  5. Right there with you on Cinder! I know I need to read it, but same as you, it feels outside of my comfort zone. As soon as I heard "cyborg", I was like "nope". But everyone insists I read it, so I may take the plunge sooner rather than later. And I want to read The Archived too, I just have too many on my TBR right now!

  6. Gah, I just LOVE the Aristotle and Dante cover! It's beautifulll. I'm happy I'm not the only one who has not gotten to the Lunar Chronicles trilogy yet *phew* but I want to hop on that wagon soon, that's for sure.

  7. Yesss, Cinder! It sounds like a mishmash of all different things but it's actually very interesting and clever and funny, and the second book in the series gets even better. I hope you'll like it too! The third book in the series is on my own TBR for this spring.

  8. I'm not too interested in Aristotle & Dante except for THAT COVER. Gorgeous. Ah, I can't wait for you to read Cinder!

  9. This is a great list Michelle! So many books that if you read I look forward to the reviews. Everyone seems to want to To All the Boys and I really wish I had a copy it, it'd be great if I did, but I doubt I'll have one. Cinder is also one I'm interested in, I'm thinking of getting it from the library in a month or two, and I'm interested on your thoughts on Dorothy Must Die, as I'm not a fan of all things Oz, but this sounds very different. You should also love Ask Again Later, I've heard fantastic things so far! :D

I am also excited for Huntley Fitzpatrick's return (TOO LONG). Biggest Flirts was really fun, but I'm more excited to see where the rest of the series goes. Great list!

  22. Oooh, I hope Cinder works out. Like everyone in the world, I do really love that series. It builds on itself in an amazing way. Pushing your bookish boundaries can be kind of scary, but it can also be rewarding, and I hope this is such a time for you!
