New Books Out This Week 1/6

These are the new books I'm obsessing over this week (and there are A LOT, I love 2013 so far!):

By: Lauren Strasnick
A girl who realizes that when she didn't answer the phone call of an ex-best friend, it could've been a life and death mistake.  Now the friend is missing and a suicide note was found.  Adrienne feels like she has to find out what happened to her friend. EEEE!  So excited for this book!  I love Lauren Strasnick!

By: Daria Snadowsky
Follow-up to Anatomy of a Boyfriend, and I just love the covers of her books!  It's about a girl who's a Premed going through heartbreak, wanting to stay away from guys, but meeting one anyway!

By: Elizabeth LaBan
The uncovering of a tragic event that happens because of a secret relationship between an albino boy and the most popular girl at school.
Been wanting to read this for at least 2 months!

By: Kate Brian
Rory enters the witness protection program after encountering and surviving a serial killer.  But that killer is on the loose, and after one of her friends goes missing in her new town, everyone begins wondering if her nightmare is really over.
YES Love it!

By: Lisa McMann
Highly anticipated book by the author of the Wake trilogy.  It's the first of 4 books about a girl who has visions of a terrible event that hasn't happened yet.
I am definitely loving the sounds of this one :)

by Steven Arnston
When it's your time to go, Death sends you a letter telling you to wrap-up your life and do what you've always wanted to do.  16-year-old Gabriela gets her notice and has one week to kiss her crush or figure out how to get a pardon.
Love the cover!

By: Brenna Yovanoff
Another awesome cover!  Someone is killing young girls in Hannah's town.  Her best friend died six months ago, but she's been haunting Hannah, pushing her to investigate the Valentine Killer.  Psychological Thriller & Ghostly?  I'm in.

By: Caroline B. Cooney
Conclusion to The Face on the Milk Carton series.  My review of this will be out on Tuesday, and if you read this series in the 90's, you'll love finding out what happens to Janie, the Spring's, the Johnson's, the kidnapper, and Reeve.

By: Gayle Forman
I think this has been on everyone's TBR list for months.  From the author of If I Stay comes a story about a girl visiting Europe who has a whirlwind 24-hour romance with a Dutch actor, and then he's gone.  She returns to America depressed and heart-broken.  Then she finds out that that one day has changed her whole view on life and throughout the next year she searches for self-discovery and meaning to her life.
It sounds sort of sad, but I'm curious enough to read it.

By: Anne Osterlund
The story of a popular Mexican-American boy who is quarterback, senior-class president, and excellent student falling for the shy, bookish girl.  They are both destined to have bright futures until something tragic happens.

By: Jaquelyn Mitchard
3 kids who hang out at night because one of them, Allie, has an allergy to sunlight.  They hangout and building jump, something they know is dangerous, but gives them a thrill.  Then one night they witness what might have been a murder and Allie wants to find out what really happened.

By: Kristin O'Donnell Tubb
A Middle-Grade book that sounds adventurous!  Jalen has unlocked the 13th sign of the zodiac and now everyone's personalities have changed.  In order to bring the world back to normal she has to defeat each of the gatekeepers to the signs.

Other Books Out This Week:
  • Timekeeper by Alexandra Monir- Second book in the Timeless series.
  • Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi- I think everyone who read Under the Never Sky has been dying for this book to come out!
  • Reaper by L.S. Murphy- About a H.S. girl who has to become a grim reaper.
  • Doomed by Tracy Deebs- combo between a Pandora's Box retelling and a gaming fans dystopian dream.
  • Broken by A.E. Rought- Says it's a modern-day Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
  • Revolution 19 by Gregg Rosenblum- Set in a Terminator world ruled by robots.
  • Jinx by Sage Blackwood- Middle-Grade fantasy with trolls, witches, wizards, werewolves, and a magical world.
  • The Fairest Beauty by Melanie Dickerson- Snow While retelling... and I love the cover!

    1. The Janie book was really quick and easy to read and I didn't even have to refresh my memory on the other Milk Carton books to get it. Broken does not sound like it's for me (which is sort of why it didn't get featured in a major way), I'm not a Twilight kind of girl. Thanks for letting me know :)

  3. I really want to read JUST ONE DAY but I heard from another blogger that they didn't like the ending, so I think I'll wait to read some more reviews first. I love the cover of THE FAIREST BEAUTY too, and I adore fairy tale retellings, so I'll have to go check that one out! :)
