New Books Out 6/2

These are the new books I'm obsessing over this week:

By: Sarah Dessen
Seriously!!!  This is FINALLY OUT on Tuesday!!  This YA contemp is set in S.D.'s favorite place: Colby!  It's about Emaline who's been with the same guy all through high school.  But high school is over and now she feels split on whether she wants to stay in Colby with what's familiar to her, or venture out and really pursue her dreams.... and it helps that there's a new guy in town.

Crushed (PLL #13)
By: Sara Shepard
Holy moly we're on #13 of this series?!?!  Ok so Ms. Shepard has said in a few different places that book 14 will be the last (yeah right)... so you can bet your ass there will be a monster cliff-hanger at the end of Crushed.

By: Amy Reed
Sadie and Max are inseparable, so of course when Sadie heads to her mom's farm for the summer Max tags along.  But when Sadie gets sick, co-dependent Max starts breaking out on her own.  She meets Dylan, a guy who she just can't stay away from, but what will happen when Sadie reappears and realizes that Max has branched out?

By: Joanna Philbin
A new series from the author of The Daughters!!  Two girls live in a beachfront mansion in the Hamptons.  Isabel lives a privileged life upstairs, while Rory is spending the summer downstairs with her aunt (Isabel's housekeeper).  Their lives will inevitably cross, and both will have summer romances that will change them forever.  Seems like it would be a really good summery, beachy read!

Another Go Ask Alice book about a girl with anorexia.

By: Jennifer Castle
A group of five 6 year olds were chosen to be part of a docu-movie series.  Every five years a movie is made about these kids living their lives.  But now that the time for the next installment has rolled around, things in the group have drastically changed.  These five kids that shared a lunch table in kindergarten are nwo 16 and they're not close anymore.  But that's not going to stop them from reuniting for another chance to be in the spotlight and show the world who they are.

By: Michelle Kemper Brownlow
Gracie falls for the bad boy, and she falls hard.  When Noah shows Gracie his sensitive side, she's falls all-in.  But after transferring to Noah's college, Noah goes back to being his old self and Gracie is left wondering what happened.  Jake (Noah's roommate) is there for Gracie and gives her strength.  Now Gracie has to decide if she's finally ready to break from the toxic relationship she has found herself in.

By: Daisy Whitney
Danny is an angry young man.  His mother dies just weeks before his high school graduation- the thing she was holding on to see.  He doesn't want to give his valedictorian speech or deal with the fact that he's all alone now.  But then he gets a letter from Tokyo (where his mother had been receiving treatments in her final months) and he decides to go there and find out what his mother's final days were really like.

Insomnia (The Night Walkers #1)
By: J.R. Johansson
Parker doesn't sleep.  Instead he enters the dream of the last person he has eye contact with.  When he meets Mia, he finds out she's the one person who has peaceful, soothing dreams and it leaves him feeling rested... and he's addicted to it.  But being able to see her everyday is making Parker seem like a stalker.  And when a real stalker starts threatening Mia, Parker is suspect #1.  With Parker suffering from blackouts, he has to wonder if maybe they're right to suspect.... maybe he is dangerous.

PODs (#1)
By: Michelle Pickett
Eva is one of the lucky ones.  She's been chosen to stay in the underground PODs while a deadly virus kills the population above.  She meets David and the two form a bond.  After a year the scientists believe it is safe to reemerge and inhabit the Earth again.  They're wrong.  The virus has mutated and turned people into monsters.  Now Eva and David have to find a way to fend for themselves and escape the infected.

By: Sara Shepard
A novella that takes place before Sutton Mercer's death.

By: Lauren Weisberger
Ok so it's not YA, but The Devil Wears Prada was awesome and I'm so excited for this follow-up!!  It's 10 years later and Emily and Andy have teamed up to start a bridal magazine.

Other Books Out This Week:

  • Faking It (Losing It #2) By: Cora Carmack- The follow-up to the New Adult book Losing It.  It's from Max's POV and features Cade.
  • Phoenix (Black City #2) By: Elizabeth Richards- The sequel to Black City with a cover that is just as cool looking!!
  • Tidal (Watersong #3) By: Amanda Hocking- Book 3 in this YA fantasy series.  Love the back tattoo!  Sexy!
  • Siege and Storm (The Grisha #2) By: Leigh Bardugo- The much anticipated follow-up to Shadow and Bone.
  • The Testing By: Joelle Charbonneau- The first book in a new dystopian series.  The cover looks a little too Hunger Games-ish... not very original :(
  • Tides By: Betsy Cornwall- A YA about mermaids (obviously).  I love the colors on the cover!
  • The Impossibility of Tomorrow (Incarnation #2) By: Avery Williams- "The immortal Seraphina is forced to face the darkness of her past—and risk losing the love of her life—in this second novel in the Incarnation series." ~Goodreads
  • Elegy (Hereafter #3) By: Tara Hudson- The final book in this paranormal series.
Yikes I'm late in getting this out... plus since I started my internship I haven't had a ton of time to read or blog, so I'm really sorry that I haven't been posting as much.  I promise I'll fix that!!

I can not freaking wait to read The Moon and More!!  Also In Too Deep and Crushed are certainly high on my TBR.  I'm debating about Over YouBeautiful was a DNF for me (the girls were disturbingly young), but I'm thinking of giving Amy Reed another shot... do you think I should??

What books are you excited for??
