Books I Hope Santa Brings
1. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz- We're reading this for book club in 2014 and I've been told it is really good. I love the cover and wouldn't mind having it on my shelf.
2. Cinder by Marissa Meyer- I need to read this.
3. 11/22/63 by Stephen King- I don't read a lot of adult, but when I do Stephen King is one I like to read. This is one of his that I've been meaning to read.
4. Crash and Burn by Michael Hassan- I already read this, but I loved it so much I really want to own it.
5. Long Hard Road Out of Hell by Marilyn Manson w. Neil Strauss- I love rock bios and this one could definitely be insane.
6. Heavier than Heaven: A Biography of Kurt Cobain by Charles R. Cross- Been wanting to read this (I'm a 90's girl).
7. My Appetite for Destruction by Steven Adler w. Lawrence J. Spagnola- LOVE Guns & Roses.
8. Who I Am by Pete Townshend- Heard good things about this and The Who were pretty nuts, so this should be interesting.
9. The Geeks Shall Inherit the Earth by Alexandra Robbins- Saw this on a Goodreads nomination list for best Nonfiction and it sounds really good.
10. Beyond Belief by Jenna Miscavige Hill w. Lisa Pulitzer- I love cults and Scientology is one I'd like to hear more about.
This week I went with a lot of bios instead of my usual YA. I buy a lot of books, but lately I've been trying to only buy ones I know I'm going to like. There's nothing worse than a shelf full of books I was like Ehhh about. I'm always down to own bios of cool people and bands and the fiction books I listed up there are ones I'm pretty confident I will like (or I've already loved it).
So what books are you hoping to see under your tree?
LOL - I sense a theme here amongst quite a few of these :-) LOL - Cinder looks kind of out of place on this list, all by its self :-)

Aristotle and Dante seems like an amazing book! And I also really want to read sth by Stephen King, since I've never read anything, but I think Carrie is the one I'll be trying out first!

Oh, Michelle, Cinder is AMAZING. I hope you get all of these on your list, but especially Cinder because I'm such a Meyer supporter. Sadly, I haven't read anything else on your list, but I'll be checking them out!

I like how you did your list a little differently this week, too. I also like how cool so many of these covers are. I feel like a lot of non-fiction and biographies have boring, run of the mill covers, but these are all really interesting looking.

I read Geeks... awhile back ago and had conflicted feelings. On one hand, I think it's great for educators and parents (I teach high school) to be aware of the inner-workings of high school, but on the other, I found parts, and the overall premise, a bit contrived. It would make a great book club book!

I love how you have a non fiction section, I would love to read non fiction. If I ever started, I'd definitely start with the Kurt Cobain one. Great list!

You have so many bios on here - I'm impressed! I manage to read a nonfiction book like once a year, and if I do, then it's a bio haha. The Geeks Who Inherit the Earth actually looks super interesting though, so maybe I'll make that my one nonfiction of the year for 2014!
