Top Ten Tuesday- Books On My Winter TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme created over at The Broke and The Bookish.  Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today (December 10th), I'm one of them :)

Today's Topic

Top Ten Books On My Winter TBR

  • 1.  Afterparty by Ann Redisch Stampler- This comes out New Year's Eve and I'm definitely trying to read it in the beginning of 2014!
  • 2.  The Impossible Knife of Memory by Laurie Halse Anderson- So I had this on my list last week and I told you how much I freaking LOVE Laurie Halse Anderson... so I will definitely be getting this early January
  • 3.  No One Else Can Have You by Kathleen Hale- I like murder-mystery type books, I think this cover is cool, and I saw it on a lot of lists last week, so I'm excited to read it.
  • 4.  Unaccompanied Minor by Hollis Gillespie- This comes out at the end of the year and it sounds so good!!
  • 5.  Roomies by Sara Zarr & Tara Altebrando- After Fangirl I am on the hunt for more college books like that.  Maybe this one is on that level??

  • 6.  Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion- Impulse buy the other day... been wanting to read it, so I'm going to this winter.
  • 7.  Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher- This came out last month and I bought it on my Nook.  I love the idea of it!
  • 8.  Living With Jackie Chan by Jo Knowles- Got this at the library and already renewed it once without touching it.  Gotta read it before Christmas!  I didn't love Jumping Off Swings, so I guess that's why I've been procrastinating.
  • 9.  Dispirited by Luisa M. Perkins- Bought this a few weeks ago on my Nook because it caught my eye.  I've been in the mood for something spooky.

  • 10.  Bang (Visions #2) by Lisa McMann- I am reading both of these book 2's pronto.  It's my #1 goal in life right now :)
  • 11.  The Evolution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer #2) by Michelle Hodkin

Can't wait to see what books you guys will be reading this winter!  Winter in the best time to read because... well what else are you going to do???

  2. I read Roomies recently and absolutely loved it, it was definitely something which I wasn't expecting and definitely came at the right time. The Impossible Knife of Memory also sounds amazing, it was only brought to my attention in the last week or so, but I am quite eager to get my hands on a copy. Happy reading! :)

  3. WARM BODIES was one of my favorite books of 2012. I hate zombies but I LOVED that book. I liked EVOLUTION more than UNBECOMING and really want RETRIBUTION.

  4. I read The Impossible Knife of Memory this week and it absolutely killed me. Laurie Halse Anderson has done it again! She is the best at tackling tough issues.

I can't wait to read Ketchup Clouds. I'm getting it for Christmas this year and having it sitting under the tree will be sooo tempting!

  6. I have No One Else Can Have You on my list too. I have heard some iffy things but I am still looking forward to forming my own opinion. I REALLY want to read Ketchup Clouds though. I heard a lot about it when it was an Aussie book. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on that one. And I will definitely be looking into Dispirited.

  12. Aaaugh!!! Michelle, Afterparty is on your top winter reads list next to Laurie Halse Anderson!!!!! There is, I realize, a limit to the number of exclamation points a person can use and still be taken seriously. But suffice to say, I am delighted and honored, and I hope you love Afterparty!
    Best,

  13. I am really excited for Roomies. (But seriously, why does it come out on Christmas Eve? Obviously not everyone celebrates Christmas, but still weird.) And I only heard about Afterparty recently, but it looks really good. I really liked Warm Bodies, which surprised me because I'm not a zombie fan, but I thought it was interesting and really well done.
