Top Ten Tuesday- Series I Have Yet To Finish

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme created over at The Broke and The Bookish. Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today (September 8th) I'm one of them :)

Today's Topic

Top Ten Series I Have Yet To Finish

I'm actually pretty good at finishing series... there are a few (Twilight) that I don't have any desire to finish, but for the most part I want to know what happens to the characters (even if I don't LOVE the book).  These are pretty much the only 10 I need to catch up on (except The Lunar Chronicles, but since Winter isn't out yet, I'm not counting it).

1.  The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater- I LOVE this series!!  But I really need to read Blue Lily!
2.  Finishing School series by Gail Carriger- I enjoyed Etiquette & Espionage... but I wasn't OBSESSED.  I would like to continue on though.
3.  If I Stay by Gayle Forman- I didn't fall in love with If I Stay like a lot of people did.  But I've heard that Where She Went is definitely worth reading.
4.  Point Last Seen series by April Henry- I read The Body in the Woods and didn't love it... but weirdly, I find myself thinking about it a lot.  So I decided I'd like to see more of these characters.
5.  Dorothy Must Die series by Danielle Paige- I liked the first book okay... not that much though.  And I usually don't get into all the author drama, but this one tweeted support for something/someone that just turned me off to her and her books.  So I'm undecided on it.
6.  To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han- I SO loved the first book!!!  I really need to read P.S. I Still Love you... like now!!
7.  Winger by Andrew Smith- Stand-Off comes out TODAY!!!  So excited!!!
8.  The Diviners by Libba Bray- I so need to start Lair of Dreams!!  It's just SO big!!
9.  Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard- I don't know!!!!  I stopped reading after book 11 because ughhhh there's just SO many books!!  And there's only so much I can take when it comes to the same 4 girls.  The world cannot possibly hate them that much.
10.  Pushing the Limits series by Katie McGarry- Pushing the Limits: LOVED!!!  Wanted to sing from the mountain tops the epicness of my love.  Dare You To: Not so much.  Crash Into You: Same.  Don't know if I want to read Take Me On or not.

What series do you still need to finish??

  1. Where She Went is definitely worth picking up! I still need to get to P.S. I Love You too. I read Pushing the Limits and liked it but haven't been motivated on the others - Great list!!

  2. Michelle, you NEED to pick up WHERE SHE WENT. I think it is even better than IF I STAY (and dude I bawled my eyeballs out at IF I STAY :)). It is sooo well written. And just emotional. You should definitely pick it up ASAP.

  3. I would so the opposite of Where She Went. I hated it because I thought it ruined the feel of the first, but I hope you enjoy it more than I did!

  6. Wow, I'm impressed that you're so good at finishing series. I'm really not, even though, like you, I pretty much always want to know what happens to the characters, even if I didn't like the books that much.

I haven't read any of the series on your list. I got about halfway through DOROTHY MUST DIE before abandoning it. Just wasn't for me, I guess.

    Happy TTT!

  7. I REALLY need to get caught up on the Raven Cycle series. I loved the first one so much, but I'm sure I've forgotten so much that I would be lost. So I keep putting it off. Lair of Dreams is huge, but it's so good it goes by fast.

  8. Great list! I love the Raven Cycle series and can't wait for the release of the final book. I struggled with Etiquette & Espionage and probably will not continue that one. I hope you enjoy the conclusion of these series!

  9. I'm really curious about Jenny's and Gail's series! The former sounds darling, the latter really unique, plus I like the "steampunk" elements it promises. Also need to read Where She Went. I liked the first novel better than anticipated, so reading the second book is a must. :) Fun list - and blog. :)

  10. Where She Went is DEFINITELY worth reading - honestly, make that one a top priority! If you like the movies Before Sunrise and Before Sunset, you'll like this one.

I need to get to Blue Lily, Lily Blue too, but it wasn't a finished series so I didn't include it in my list...I really should, though.

I didn't really realize that that Andrew Smith book was a series...interesting. I might have to give it a closer look.

Thanks for stopping by my TTT!

  12. I somehow totally forgot about the Raven Cycle! I haven't read the final book yet either. I'm kind of afraid to since oe of my favorite characters might die. I haven't read any of the others on your list, but I want to. We need a TTT for series I want to start but haven't. I could blow that list away, lol. Thanks for visiting Bookworm Book Reviews!
