Top Ten Tuesday- Books I Wouldn't Mind Getting From Santa

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme created over at The Broke and The Bookish. Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today (December 22nd) I'm one of them :)

Today's Topic

Top Ten Books I Wouldn't Mind Santa Leaving Under My Tree

Sorry Santa, my choices this year are pretty random... but I'm choosing things I really NEED instead of things I just want ;)

1.  Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Illustrated Edition by J.K Rowling & Jim Kay (Illustrator)- I really really really NEED this one!!  It's a complete must.

2.  The Marvels by Brian Selznick- This one because it's so darn pretty!!

3.  The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay- This because it's been on my TBR since I started blogging and it's one of my "why have you not read this yet" books.

4.  Top Ten Clues You're Clueless by Liz Czukas- This is such a "me" book.  First, the title... anything with "Top Ten" or "Reasons Why" or "Confessions of a..." I just have to read!  Second, ummm Clueless??  Yes it's not about Cher and Dionne, but still... and third, it just sounds fun!

5.  This is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp- It's not TECHNICALLY out yet, but Santa, I think you have connections.

6.  Violent Ends by Various YA Authors- Since I'm reading the book before this one, I may as well get this one to go along with it.

7.  Delirium by Lauren Oliver- Duh, Lauren Oliver.  Also I'm trying to branch out.

8.  Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi- Another "out of my comfort zone" books that I want to try now that the hype is dead.

9.  Fear Street Cheerleaders: The Third Evil by R.L. Stine- Because I was going through my Fear Street books, and this one is MISSING!!!  I have the First and Second Evil, but no Third!!  I also have the New Evil!!  But NO THIRD!!  I must've lent it out in JR High and never got it back.  This must be fixed.

10.  Lone Wolf by Jodi Picoult- Because I never read any Adult anymore and I really really used to like this author's books, so I'd like to catch up on what has come out since I stopped reading them.

That's my list for Santa.  Hopefully he gets the memo.

  1. I knew I would see a lot of lists with the illustrated Harry Potter. Luckily for me I already picked it up for myself. Haven't been able to read it yet though. Hope you get a copy because it's gonna be so magical. Under the Never Sky too me 100 or so pages to get into because the beginning is so much information to take in, but if you can stick with it I think you'll love it! Thanks for taking the time to stop by my Top 10 list. Happy Tuesday & Happy Reading!

  2. The cover of The Marvels is stunning! I don't have that clear an idea of what its about, but the cover on its own is tempting.

  3. I loved Under the Never Sky. I still need to finish the series, though. I took a peak at the Harry Potter illustrated version when I was at the bookstore recently and it's so beautiful! Side note, but I'm so excited for the new Lauren Oliver book coming out next year! Wahoo! I liked Delirium, up until the end, but I still really want to continue with the series because I just love her writing. Vanishing Girls is my favourite from her.

  5. The Marvels was really interesting! I loved all of the illustrations, but Hugo is still my favorite of Selznik's works. I really hope Santa brings you the illustrated Harry Potter!

  9. I can't believe you haven't read The Sea of Tranquility! Although now that I said that I'm trying to decide if I think you would like it, haha. Under the Never Sky was a book out of my comfort zone, but I ended up really loving the series. I hope you have a great Christmas!

  12. I enjoyed Delirium! Lauren Oliver has a great writing style. I tried to read Sea of Tranquility (because, hello, everyone RAVES about it!) and I just couldn't get into it. I think I am the only person in the world who didn't love it!
