Top Ten Tuesday-- Hidden Gems

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme created over at The Broke and The Bookish. Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today (August 29th) I'm one of them :)

Today's Topic

Top Ten Hidden Gems

  • My blog could probably be called HIDDEN GEM BOOKS because the books I love usually DO go under the radar.  So yeah, this topic was made for me.  These are pretty much all serious Contemporary books (except Kissing Ted-- that one's just cute):

1.  16 Ways to Break a Heart by Lauren Strasnick

  • This came out in July and I've barely seen anything about it.  I personally loved the darkness and drama.

2.  The Creeping by Alexandra Sirowy

  • YES to this book!!  I was OBSESSED with it.

3.  Love and Other Perishable Items by Laura Buzo

  • This is a book about something that would normally be a HUGE turn-off for me.  Instead, it left me completely addicted and in a puddle of emotions.

4.  The Unfinished Life of Addison Stone by Adele Griffin

  • This book is written like a non-fictional biography-- so unique!!

5.  Some Girls Are by Courtney Summers

  • I don't think I'll ever think Courtney Summers books get enough love.  This one was my fave.

6.  Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher

  • I love books in letter format!!

7.  Kissing Ted Callahan (and Other Guys) by Amy Spalding

  • SOOOOOO cute and fun and smile-inducing.

8.  Confessions of an Angry Girl (#1) by Louise Rozett

  • This book was so much more than I was expecting.  The whole series is the bomb.

9.  Crash (Visions #1) by Lisa McMann

  • SO UNDERRATED!!  It has a slight fantasy/paranormal aspect to it-- and I loved all 3 books in the series.  A+++ CHARACTERS!!

10.  One Moment by Kristina McBride

  • Kristina McBride became a new fave author instantly after I read this book.  I read it in one night and was SO TIRED the next day--- but I could not stop reading!!!  Also, check out her newest book The Bakersville Dozen that came out in July!

Have you read any of my HIDDEN GEMS??  What books did you feature this week?

  3. I checked out The Unfinished Life of Addison Stone from the library once but never read it. Will have to look for it again. I also recently grabbed The Creeping on sale. Love you list but sadly I've not read any.

  7. Under the radar books are sometimes the best! I read my first Courtney Summers this summer and loved it, so I could definitely see reading more of her stuff. And Love and Other Perishable Items does look good, although reading the blurb I can see where it might be a problematic premise? Nice that it's apparently handled well...

  9. Lisa McMann is a local author, so I've read a lot of hers. I agree -- the Crash series is great. I also liked KETCHUP CLOUDS. It's definitely underrated. I first heard about it from another book blogger and I'm glad I took her advice and read it!

  10. How good was Addison Stone? I have this on my TTT too, and will forever recommend that book. I have had a bunch of these on my TBR, but this could be the push to get me to read some of them. Great list!
