Top Ten Tuesday-- Winter TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme created over at The Broke and The Bookish. Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today (November 28th) I'm one of them :)

Today's Topic

Top Ten Books On My Winter TBR

  • Even though I'm terrible at reading books on schedule-- I love making lists, so here are the books I am SERIOUSLY FOR REALS going to try to read this winter.

1.  The Last to Let Go by Amber Smith
  • The Way I Used to Be was AMAZING!!  It blew me away and left me with my emotions in a puddle on the floor.   I cannot wait to read this book!

2.  Pretty Dead Girls by Monica Murphy
  • The title alone is SO ME.  But I love mystery, so this one is a definite YES.

3.  Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills
  • Been wanting to read this ever since I finished This Adventure Ends last year-- because that book impressed the hell out of me.

4.  What Light by Jay Asher
  • Oh jeez.  Yeah, I didn't get to it last year and it's a Christmassy book, so I didn't "feel" like reading it after Christmas.  I am going to try to do it in the next few weeks!

5.  The Door to January by Gillian French
  • I really liked Grit earlier this year, so when I found out she had 2nd book coming out this year, I pre-ordered (which I NEVER do).  And HURRAH!!!  It's really short!!  So, I'm going to read this one soon.

6.  People Like Us by Dana Mele
  • My friend Cassi reminded me of this book's existence earlier today, so I'm putting it on the list.  Everything about this book sounds like something I would like, so I gotta try to get my hands on it.

7.  The Afterlife of Holly Chase by Cynthia Hand
  • This is a "Scrooge" retelling, so it's PERFECT for the Christmas season :)

8.  The Chaos of Standing Still by Jessica Brody
  • I LOVE Jessica Brody and all she does-- this book is set in an airport and seems like it's emotional AND cute/funny.  I'm giving away a copy this week, so go HERE to enter!!

9.  At the Edge of the Universe by Shaun David Hutchinson
  • This is the next book up on my library queue, so I'll definitely be reading it in the next week or so.

10.  The Truth Beneath the Lies by Amanda Search
  • This is another one of our blog tours, so I'm definitely going to make an effort to read it.  Also, mystery/thrillers are my jam, so I would want to read it anyway :)

What books are on your Winter TBR??  Are you interested in/have you read any of these books?

  1. Foolish Heart is AMAZING! I loved it even more than This Adventure Ends<3! I'm also really excited to read People Like Us and The Afterlife of Holly Chase!

  2. I am dying to read The Last to Let Go and People Like Us. They both look fabulous. Chaos had a lot to like. I was a superfan of all the airport parts and thought there were some excellent characters filling out the cast. Foolish Hearts was read, and loved, and added to my favorites shelf. I am officially averring my love for Emma Mills right here. I liked What Light. It had a great theme of forgiveness and I am a sap for holiday books. Door to January was pretty good too. I still need to talk about this ending though, and I really liked The Truth Beneath the Lies. Happy reading!

  3. Great list! The Afterlife of Holly Chase sounds so fun and I love the cover of Foolish Hearts. I hope you manage to get all of these and that you enjoy them!

  4. Oh I forgot Foolish Hearts!! I can't wait for that one. Chaos of Standing Still is another I would love to get. Happy reading with all of these!!!

  5. The cover for The Door to January is really well done. I hope it's good.

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks!

  6. Hi! Foolish Heart looks so good! And that cover :) The Chaos of Standing Still looks like something I'd love, too!

  7. I really loved This Adventure Ends, too, so Foolish Hearts is pretty high on my list, as well!

  8. The Afterlife of Holly Chase sounds like the perfect book to read around the holidays.

  9. I haven't read any of these books, lots of good suggestions. I'm loving all the Christmas themed books people are adding, I didn't think to put any on my list.

  10. I haven't read What Light either so I need to do that! I also NEED to read At the Edge of the Universe. I loved We Are the Ants, and just Hutchinson in general.

  11. Pretty Dead Girls sounds fun, and so does Door To January (plus I liked the Gillian French book I read earlier this year). People Like Us is one I need to grab too.

  12. Awesome List! I haven't heard of a good chunk of these so I definitely plan to look into them. Thanks! Happy reading & Happy Holidays!

  13. Some of these look very wintery. I hope you get a chance to read them all.

  14. Great list! I'm really excited to read The Chaos of Standing Still! I don't find myself gravitating towards mysteries myself, but People Like Us has been added to my Goodreads list. Hope you get to everything on your TBR!

  15. I posted about The Truth Beneath the Lies on my most anticipated reads of 2017 list from a few months back of TTT. Glad to see it showing up again! http://nerdnarrationblog.wordpress.com/2017/11/28/top-ten-tuesday-winter-tbr/

  16. I’m hoping to have the time to read The Afterlife of Holly Chase before Christmas sneaks up on me. Christmas has a way of doing that.
