Top Ten Tuesday-- Winter TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme created over at The Broke and The Bookish. Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today (November 28th) I'm one of them :)

Today's Topic

Top Ten Books On My Winter TBR

  • Even though I'm terrible at reading books on schedule-- I love making lists, so here are the books I am SERIOUSLY FOR REALS going to try to read this winter.

1.  The Last to Let Go by Amber Smith
  • The Way I Used to Be was AMAZING!!  It blew me away and left me with my emotions in a puddle on the floor.   I cannot wait to read this book!

2.  Pretty Dead Girls by Monica Murphy
  • The title alone is SO ME.  But I love mystery, so this one is a definite YES.

3.  Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills
  • Been wanting to read this ever since I finished This Adventure Ends last year-- because that book impressed the hell out of me.

4.  What Light by Jay Asher
  • Oh jeez.  Yeah, I didn't get to it last year and it's a Christmassy book, so I didn't "feel" like reading it after Christmas.  I am going to try to do it in the next few weeks!

5.  The Door to January by Gillian French
  • I really liked Grit earlier this year, so when I found out she had 2nd book coming out this year, I pre-ordered (which I NEVER do).  And HURRAH!!!  It's really short!!  So, I'm going to read this one soon.

6.  People Like Us by Dana Mele
  • My friend Cassi reminded me of this book's existence earlier today, so I'm putting it on the list.  Everything about this book sounds like something I would like, so I gotta try to get my hands on it.

7.  The Afterlife of Holly Chase by Cynthia Hand
  • This is a "Scrooge" retelling, so it's PERFECT for the Christmas season :)

8.  The Chaos of Standing Still by Jessica Brody
  • I LOVE Jessica Brody and all she does-- this book is set in an airport and seems like it's emotional AND cute/funny.  I'm giving away a copy this week, so go HERE to enter!!

9.  At the Edge of the Universe by Shaun David Hutchinson
  • This is the next book up on my library queue, so I'll definitely be reading it in the next week or so.

10.  The Truth Beneath the Lies by Amanda Search
  • This is another one of our blog tours, so I'm definitely going to make an effort to read it.  Also, mystery/thrillers are my jam, so I would want to read it anyway :)

What books are on your Winter TBR??  Are you interested in/have you read any of these books?

  2. I am dying to read The Last to Let Go and People Like Us. They both look fabulous. Chaos had a lot to like. I was a superfan of all the airport parts and thought there were some excellent characters filling out the cast. Foolish Hearts was read, and loved, and added to my favorites shelf. I am officially averring my love for Emma Mills right here. I liked What Light. It had a great theme of forgiveness and I am a sap for holiday books. Door to January was pretty good too. I still need to talk about this ending though, and I really liked The Truth Beneath the Lies. Happy reading!

  9. I haven't read any of these books, lots of good suggestions. I'm loving all the Christmas themed books people are adding, I didn't think to put any on my list.

  10. I haven't read What Light either so I need to do that! I also NEED to read At the Edge of the Universe. I loved We Are the Ants, and just Hutchinson in general.

  16. I’m hoping to have the time to read The Afterlife of Holly Chase before Christmas sneaks up on me. Christmas has a way of doing that.
