Top Ten Tuesday-- The GIVE IT TO ME NOW Books

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme now hosted over at That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today (May 1st) I'm one of them :)

Today's Topic

Top Ten Books I'd Slay A Lion To Get Early

  • Weirdly, there aren't THAT many books that I'm sitting around DYING for.  Maybe it's because I'm not really in the middle of any series that I love???  Maybe it's because a lot of my fave authors have recently put out books and don't have anything upcoming yet???  I'm not sure, but it's making me a little sad.  I'm going to have to scour your lists so I can get some new WANTS in my life!!

1.  Sadie by Courtney Summers- THIS IS MY FAVE AUTHOR AND I NEEEEEEED THIS BOOK!!!

2.  The Cheerleaders by Kara Thomas- I know this is a "me" book & can't wait to read it.

3.  Rabbit & Robot by Andrew Smith- This book sounds absolutely bizarre, but I don't care.

4.  The Towering Sky (The Thousandth Floor #3) by Katharine McGee- This is my guilty pleasure series, and I'm pumped to see how it ends.

5.  Fall Boys & Dizzy in Paradise by Jandy Nelson- I'm not actually sure that this book is a real thing, but if it is-- I WANT!!!

6.  Winger #3 by Andrew Smith- IS THIS HAPPENING AND IF IT IS YESSSSSSSSS!!!

7.  Six Jacks by E. Lockhart- I will read every everything that this author writes forever.

8.  Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen M. McManus- I really liked her first book and it's about a Homecoming Queen murder, so I'm IN!!!

9.  Signs of Life by Megan Miranda- This is billed as Contact meets Stranger Things.  Yes and Yes to both of those-- and BONUS that this is one of my fave authors!!!

10.  Famous in a Small Town by Emma Mills- NEED. MORE. EMMA. MILLS. HAPPINESS. IN. MY. LIFE.

Which books would you do anything to get??

  1. Though I hear amazing things, I've never read a novel by Jady Nelson. If this book is a thing, that title though is too cute!! :)

  3. It took me a while too to come up with my list, I think mainly because I don't look TOO far ahead and don't do ARC's. Still once I started looking I found more books I wanted! I'm curious about Sadie because I like what I've read of Courtney Summers so far, and Two Can Keep A secret! Seriously? I loved her last book, so adding that!! Same w/ Signs of Life- that premise!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Great list! I've heard many wonderful things about Sadie and Courtney Summers in general. I haven't heard of Rabbit and Robot, but just from the cover it looks wild and I. Am. Intrigued.

I hope you get to read all of these soon!

  10. I was having trouble coming up with books too. I think it is because so many are books for series that I haven't read or just aren't excited about. But I'm also glad this was a topic so I can find all the books I didn't know about. I didn't know about Emma Mills' new one or that Winger 3 might be happening!!

  12. Please steal me a copy of: The Towering Sky and The Cheerleaders. I can say, Andrew Smith tweeted to me, that Ryan Dean will be back. He didn't say when, but the tweet made me squeal. That Jandy Nelson book has been out there for years now. I really hope we get something from her soon. I love her writing. E. Lockhart, Emma Mills, and Karen M. McManus are all yeses for me too.
