1. The Boyfriend List by E. Lockhart
- What is this linked to?? Discovering YA all over again. This book made me realize that as a gal in her mid-20's, YA was still going to be my go-to.
2. Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein
- What is this linked to?? Elementary school. Memorizing "Sick" because I wished I was able to come up with so many cool ailments as Peggy Ann McKay.
3. Helter Skelter by Vincent Bugliosi
- What is this linked to?? College. Staying in from partying with my friends because I wanted to readddddddd. And being alone when I was at the scary parts (AKA-- all of it) and thinking someone was going to break into my house.
4. Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard
- What is this linked to?? The first year I lived in the house I'm in now. That was the summer the TV show came out and I knewwww I had to read these books. It also reminds me of my tiny little toddler putting his finger to his lips to say "shhhh" just like Aria.
5. The Killer's Cousin by Nancy Werlin
- What is this linked to?? I will remember this forevs as my first ever audio book! It reminds me of driving in my old car (a 2001 Malibu) & having to rewind 999 times because I couldn't figure out how to listen and push pedals and turn the wheel.
6. Trapped by Michael Northrop
- What is this linked to?? This book review was my FIRST EVER POST!! It will always remind me of the day I took the plunge into the blogging world.
7. How to Save a Life by Sara Zarr
- What is this linked to?? I read this book during the first month that I went back to college to finish my degree-- I was a 30-year-old college student & would read this while I was waiting for class to begin. It was an awkward time.
8. The Diviners by Libba Bray
- What is this linked to?? This is the book that I read for my first ever book club meeting with the FYA Book Club that I belong to and LOVE.
9. Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick
- What is this linked to?? Nothing really-- except I will always remember reading this on my steps because I was not okay and for some reason I felt like the steps were a safe place???
10. Crash & Burn by Michael Hassan
- What is this linked to?? It's not really a "beach" book, but I remember reading this on the beach and staying until it was getting dark and the high tide was coming in and I just could not stop reading!! I was obsessed.

I've never read the 'Liars' series nor have I watched it, but the show does seem like the kind of story I could become "hooked" on even though I suspect I'd often be annoyed with or mad at the characters. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe PLL books are definitely addicting in a guilty pleasure kind of way. I didn't read allllll the books because after 9 I got bored, but the first 8 or so are decent. The show was definitely different from the books-- but equally addicting!!

DeleteI was not ok during Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock too! Except instead of steps, I read it curled up in my bed thinking my blankets would somehow protect me from what I was about to read haha

Can I just now say such a relief to discover somebody that actually knows what theyre talking about on-line. You actually learn how to bring a worry to light and produce it crucial. Lots more people should read this and appreciate this side of your story. I cant believe youre no more popular when you definitely provide the gift. free books
