Top Ten Tuesday-- Red, White, and Blue Takeover

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme now hosted over at That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today (July 3rd) I'm one of them :)

Today's Topic

Top Ten Fave Red, White, & Blue Books

  • So finding books with red, white, AND blue on the covers was way too hard for me.  I decided to find books that mainly had ONE of those colors featured.  Also, I narrowed it down by only picking my fave books for this list.  So yeah, I LOVE all of these books & think you should totally read them if you haven't!!

1.  Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher- This book started my love for this author-- and I really need more books by her PLEASE!!

2.  Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick- I am bummed about the movie being cancelled-- although I get why it was :(

3.  Final Girls by Riley Sager- I am reading THE LAST TIME I LIED right now and it is even better!!!

4.  Violent Ends by Various YA Authors- Best compilation book ever.

5.  Love and Other Perishable Items by Laura Buzo- Why is this author no longer writing??  I need MORE!!!

6.  The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold- The movie sucked, but this book was totally and completely addicting.

7.  This is Not a Test by Courtney Summers- I freaking LOVE this cover.  Also, can this be a movie please???

8.  Bad Girls With Perfect Faces by Lynn Weingarten- If you read one book off of this list-- let it be this one!!

9.  Learning to Swear in America by Katie Kennedy- This book was so fun and also nerve-wracking.

10.  Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway- Such a good friendship book.  I need to read more Robin Benway PRONTO.

What kind of books made your lists this week?  Have you read any of these??

  4. Ketchup Clouds just made me smile even before I knew what the book was about. And Violent Ends -- gosh that cover is striking (I think I may have a liking for the red covers but BLUE is my favourite colour!)

  9. I did the same sort of thing, red, white and blue covers but not necessarily all covers which were combinations of the three.

  12. I love your TTT picks, because they are not all the most popular books. We are sort of kindred spirits in that. Emmy & Oliver <3 Benway can do no wrong. I thought Bad Girls was fantastic. I loved Wringerten's writing so much. You have a few up there I hope to read at some point in my life too. Nice picks, as always.
