Reconstructing Amelia

In the Shadow of Blackbirds

A historical fiction that features photos from the early 20th Century.  Mary Shelley Black lives in the midst of the Spansh influenza crisis and WWI.  Her father is in prison and her boyfriend was killed over in France.  Suddenly Stephen (the boyfriend) begins showing up and Mary Shelley is the only one who can help him.  OMG this sounds so cool, and I rarely read historical fiction!  It sounds like it could do what Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children tried to do with the photographs, but actually have it work.

Rotten

By: Michael Northrop

I really liked Trapped by Northrop, but I have to say I can't read this book if the dog dies, I'm a baby like that.

My Life After Now

By: Jessica Verdi

Lucy has a bad week and to blow off steam she goes out and does a very unLucy-like thing.  Because of that one mistake, her life is changed forever.  This book sounds great, but it scares the crap out of me too because one little mistake really can ruin your whole life.

This is What Happy Looks Like

By: Jennifer E. Smith
