New Books Out This Week 4/21

These are the new books I'm obsessing over this week:

By: Tom Leveen
17-year-old Tyler has had a crush on Becky since the first day of high school.  But he's with Sidney, not Becky.  His dream is to be a writer and when one of his Becky stories gets published in a literary journal, he's ecstatic.  But now he has to decide if he will finally act on his feelings.  I love Tom Leveen, he's awesome!
By: Sarah Strohmeyer
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this cover... it's so pretty!!  Zoe lands an internship at Fairyland Kingdom, and has big dreams for this summer.  But when the internship ends up being anything but a fairy tale, Zoe doesn't know if she'll make it through.  Dubbed as The Devil Wears Prada set in Disney World.
By: Nicole Williams
Jude and Lucy are back in the third book in this New Adult series.
By: Stacey Kade
Ever since escaping from the genetics lab where she was created, Ariane has always followed the rules and flown under the radar.  She can't afford to stand out.  Recent events at her high school have changed all that and Ariane has suddenly caught the eye of the police chief's son.
By: Abbi Glines
Woods (from Fallen Too Far) is a guy who doesn't date girls with issues... he's in it just for fun, until he meets Della, a girl with a dark past and a lot of secrets.
By: Janet Gurtler
The story of Kya and Grace, two BFF's whose relationship is really put to the test.

Daruis & Twig
By: Walter Dean Myers
A story about friendship of Two boys, a track-star and a writer growing up in Harlem.

Unbreakable (Unraveling #2)
By: Elizabeth Norris
The sequel to Unraveling where Janelle finds out what happened to Ben and unravel a kidnapping ring in 5 days.

A Few Adult Titles That I'm Excited About:
Fly Away (Firefly Lane #2)
By: Kristin Hannah
The sequel that I didn't know was coming to Firefly Lane.  I really loved that book and it ended pretty sad, so I guess we'll find out what happens to Kate's kids.
 Wedding Night
By: Sophie Kinsella
It's about a "if we're both not married by the time we're ____ , we marry each other" pact.  Sophie Kinsella is always good for a funny book.

Other Book Out This Week:

  • The Elite (The Selection #2) By: Kiera Cass- 2nd book in the Selection series.  I must say there are beautiful covers in this series!
  • Truth or Dare (Capital Girls #3) By: Ella Monroe- 3rd book in the Capital Girls Series.
  • Pretty Dark Nothing By: Heather L. Reid- A fantasy book about a girl who sees demons.
  • Chosen at Nightfall (Shadow Falls #5) By: C.C. Hunter- Final book in the Shadow Falls series.
  • House of Secrets By: Ned Vizzini- Middle-Grade Fantasy set in the creepy magical house.  I'm curious to see what Ned Vizzini's jump into MG is like!
  • Acid By: Emma Pass- A dystopian set in 2113 about the sole female inmate in a high-security prison, her escape and quest to find out the truth about her arrest.
  • Arclight By: Josin L. McQuein- A new Sci-Fi Thriller, book 1 in a series.
  • Echo By: Alicia Wright Brewster- A dystopian set in a world where the countdown is on for the end of life.

Paperback Releases:

  • Keep Holding On (paperback) By: Susane Colasanti- I read this one and really liked it!!  It's the best one I've read from this author!
  • Zero (paperback) By: Tom Leveen- I can't believe I haven't read this yet... well now that it's in paperback I can do something about that!
  • Thumped (Bumped #2) By: Megan McCafferty- Sequel to the dystopian Bumped... LOVE Megan McCafferty!

Wow it's a good week!!!  I am excited to read Manicpixiedreamgirl and the Zoe book.  I also think the paperback cover of Keep Holding On is really cute!!  What are you into this week?

  3. Unbreakable!!! Can't wait to get my hands on that book! Other than that, though, nothing remotely interesting, unless you count Arclight and Acid, but I don't know if I'll be getting them. And is it just me, or are there so many covers out there that need to have a girl and guy kissing? What happened to originality?

Anyway, thanks for sharing this week's releases, Michelle!

    1. Yeah I'm sort of sick of a guy and a girls faces up close kissing or almost kissing... im bored! The Crash series by Nicole Williams is super yawn inducing, I wish they would've come up with something more exciting :(
