Top Ten Beach Reads
YAY BEACH!!! There is no better place to read than on the beach! Here is me on the beach a few years ago reading a PLL book:
I cannot wait to get there this summer and dig my toes in! But first I gotta find a few good beach books to take with me. So I'll be browsing all of your lists looking for some. Here are the books I've read in the past that would be great to read at the beach. I tend to go for books with a mystery in them just because that's what feels right to me for the beach. But I also like to read some romance too... nothing that makes me think too too hard!
9. Best Friends Forever by Jennifer Weiner- Yeah more about friendship than romance, but still it's a great beach book!
10. Any Sarah Dessen
**So like I said I'm really excited to browse through your lists so that I can find my next beach book!
These are some great picks Michelle! I really need to read some more books by Dessen, so it's great to know that they made it to your list! Also how could I forget What I Remember from my list? I adored that book!
ReplyDeleteAudrey, Wait seems to be a popular book! It's on the top of my list as well! :) Great choices!
ReplyDeleteoh yes the Mara Dyer books are amazing and would be great for the beach!

Your blog layout is really cute! I really want to pick up Pretty Little Liars. Are the books better than the show?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately the show is WAY better than the books IMO. But they're still cool books... just not as cool as the show.
DeleteWhat do you think of The Lying Game books vs tv show? I think they're both SO different! I'm obsessed with both in their own way. I love that they're different. Here's my list: http://unravelingbooks.blogspot.com/2013/06/top-ten-tuesday_11.html
DeleteI totally LOVE the TV Show more than the books in both The Lying Game and Pretty Little Liars. I am OBSESSED with The Lying Game TV show and am getting pissed that they havent renewed it yet!!!
DeleteThe Pretty Little Liars books are definitely addicting, but have gone on too long... also I am so used to the girls from the TV show that when I read in the book about Emily being a redhead w/ freckles, Hanna being a brunette, and Spencer being a blonde it freaks me out!
That's a fun list!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the comment on my site!
DeleteGood list, I love The Lying Games series it even made my list of beach reads last year.
ReplyDeleteYou have so many great ones on your list! I LOOOOVE Audrey, Wait! It's one of my favorites.

Anything Sarah Dessen is guaranteed to be a great beach read! All her covers are so beachy!
ReplyDeleteI would totally take any of those mystery reads to the beach, although I haven't read Hysteria yet.
ReplyDeleteGreat picks! :)
Thanks for stopping by my TTT earlier. I STILL need to read the Mara Dyer series! And mystery on the beach sounds like a great idea to me!

I'm watching Pretty Little Liars right now! I wonder how the books are. And Sarah Dessen is perfect for the summer =)
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I want to read the Unbecoming of Mara Dyer - I didn't realize it was a series until I saw people mentioning it in the comments. Interesting. I haven't decided if Pretty Little Liars is going to be for me or not - I see lots of people recommending it so I should give it a try.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I could have put any of your romance ones on my list (and I do have Audrey, Wait on mine). I also really need to read the Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, I've been wanting to read it for months!
ReplyDeleteI really want to read Hysteria & I'm in the midst of Mara Dyer :)

I'm so glad you included From What I Remember, one of my favorite books from last summer and a bit of an underdog. :) When it pops up on blogs, I remember how much I want to read it again.
ReplyDeleteI love how the PLL book matches your beach towel! :) Rosebush looks really good, and I agree, any Sarah Dessen book would make a great beach read!
