Top Ten Tuesday- Spring TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme created over at The Broke and The Bookish. Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today (March 15th) I'm one of them :)

Today's Topic

Top Ten Books On My Spring TBR

  • I'm terrible at TBR's but I like the IDEA of it.  Plus it's always fun (sort of) to look back on all my failed lists.  I really do have good intentions though!!  I just HAVE to read what I'm in the mood for or I'll die.

  • 1.  The Outliers (#1) by Kimberly McCreight
    • Release Date- May 3, 2016
    • Why I want to read- I LOVED Reconstructing Amelia and enjoyed Where They Found Her which were sort of YA/Adult crossovers.  This one is all YA I believe, so I'm excited to see how I like that.

    2.  The Way I Used to Be by Amber Smith
    • Release Date- March 22, 2016
    • Why I want to read- It sounds SO powerful.  Plus it's compared to Speak, one of my all-time fav. books.

    3.  A Perfect Disaster by Amanda Maciel
    • Release Date- May 5, 2016... I think???
    • Why I want to read- I hope this is still coming out bc it disappeared from Amazon and B&N websites!!  Anyhow, I was obsessed with this author's debut, Tease, and cannot wait to read more by her.  Plus, I love books that explore sexuality and reputation and double-standards.

    4.  This is Where the World Ends by Amy Zhang
    • Release Date- March 22, 2016
    • Why I want to read- I thought Falling Into Place had a lot of potential, so I'm very curious to read more by this author.  Also I love boy-girl friendship books.

    • Release Date- April 5, 2016
    • Why I want to read- I fell in love with Kissing Ted Callahan, so even though I don't love the premise of this... I still have high hopes that I'll love it.

    6.  The Girl Who Fell by Shannon M. Parker
    • Release Date- March 1, 2016
    • Why I want to read- This sounds SO "me".  I love darker books like this, and sadly, I can relate to obsessive relationship books.

    7.  The Raven King (The Raven Cycle #4) by Maggie Stiefvater
    • Release Date- April 26, 2016
    • Why I want to read- I mean, does this need explanation??

    8.  After the Woods by Kim Savage
    • Release Date- February 23, 2016
    • Why I want to read- I've been in the YA Mystery mood, and this just sounds AMAZING.

    9.  Once Upon a Kiss by Robin Palmer
    • Release Date- January 5, 2016
    • Why I want to read- I love the 80's and I love the 13 Going On 30-type idea of it.

    10.  The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen
    • Release Date- May 11, 2004.... wow I feel old!
    • Why I want to read- A REREAD!!!  I barely ever do these, but we're reading this for book club next month and I'm excited to revisit one of my forever favorites.

    1. Aww, I love THE TRUTH ABOUT FOREVER! It's my third favorite Dessen book (after ALONG FOR THE RIDE and THIS LULLABY). I think I follow someone on Instagram who rereads all of Dessen's books every year, and ugh, the envy. Ooh, THE WAY I USED TO BE! I got a copy of that today. It looks good, but also like it's a gut-kicker. And I literally JUST finished THE GIRL WHO FELL late last night. I liked it, but I think I need to let it simmer a bit.

    2. I just love the cover for Once Upon A Kiss! I just recently read Amy Spalding's, The New Guy and it was such a cute read. The Way I Used To Be sounds pretty intense. Thank you for stopping by, Michelle. :)

    7. The Raven King, YAY! I can't wait to flail all about it. And let me know what you think of The Outliers and After the Woods. They sound pretty interesting. And I'm always in the mood for a YA Mystery so, there's that.

    8. I have a hard time sticking to my TBR lists as well. I usually don't make them anymore because I always fail haha! I did make one for this TTT though. Great list and I hope you love all of these. I'm reading After the Woods now and I'm enjoying it so far.
