  • These are the books I'm most excited for for the rest of 2016.  If you haven't heard of them, maybe you can get excited about them too!!





1.  Heartless by Marissa Meyer
  • It's a Alice in Wonderland/Queen of Hearts retelling & I think that sounds fabulous.

2.  This is Our Story by Ashley Elston
  • A story of how when 5 boys went hunting, one is killed, and no one is talking.
  • Pub Date: 11/15/2016

3.  What Light by Jay Asher
  • It's Jay Asher guys!!  I would be excited no matter what it was about.
  • Pub Date: 10/11/2016

4.  Afterward by Jennifer Mathieu
  • A girl makes friends with a boy who was found when they rescued her kidnapped brother.  I LOVED The Truth About Alice, so I'm PUMPED for this book.
  • Pub Date: 9/20/2016

5.  Replica by Lauren Oliver
  • It's a sci-fi about 2 girls who have ties to a shady research facility.  It's LAUREN OLIVER!!  I can't wait to start it!

6.  Wrecked by Maria Padian
  • A story of a sexual assault on a college campus.
  • Pub Date: 10/4/2016

7.  The Light Fantastic by Sarah Combs
  • I'm not really sure what this is about, because the blurb is kind of hard to follow, but even so it sounds SO unique.  Also LOVE the cover!

8.  Last Seen Leaving by Caleb Roehrig
  • A boy's girlfriend goes missing and he tries to figure out what happened without revealing his own secrets.

9.  Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco
  • It's about Jack the Ripper!!!  I MUST read!
  • Pub Date: 9/20/2016

10.  Be Good Be Real Be Crazy by Chelsea Philpot
  • Road Trip book!!! I always try to squeeze a few of those in.

Honorable Mention:


Of course I find the perfect book after I finish with this list.  Anyway, The Row by J.R. Johansson is about the daughter of a serial killer about to be executed.  It sounds SO intense!

  2. I'm very curious about Stalking Jack the Ripper. I really love the idea. I'm waiting to see what others think of it before deciding if I want to buy it or not.
    That cover for Last Seen Leaving is so creepy. I love it!

  3. Super excited for Replica. I love the premise. Also What Light. I loved his other book so much that I am super excited to see something else from him. I hadn't heard of that last one but I mean road trip books are the best. Great list!

  4. REPLICA is great!!!! You will love it, I have a feeling, Michelle. :-) I'm curious about What Light, too but I have heard it's a very sweet/cute romance so do not expect the heavy of 13RW. :-) Great list as always

  22. I've never heard of The Light Fantastic, but it sounds interesting. Ahhhh, I'm SO excited for Heartless, This Is Our Story & Be Good Be Real Be Crazy (I loooove roadtrip books, ala The Disenhantments) I literally recently finished Afterward and it's interesting, so I hope you enjoy it! <3
