Top Ten Tuesday-- Winter TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme now hosted over at That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today (December 18th) I'm one of them :)

Today's Topic

Top Ten Books On My Winter 2018-19 TBR

  • I love making my annual fails lists-- err, my seasonal TBRs.  I don't care that I never stick to the list or that I never read fast enough to even have a prayer of finishing them.  They're fun to make, and make them I shall...

1.  Come Find Me by Megan Miranda- I freaking love this author and will read everything she writes from here on out.

2.  That Night by Amy Giles- I'm cheating because I'm reading this now, but having a head start is needed sometimes.

3.  Pretty in Punxsutawney by Laurie Boyle Crompton- I love Groundhog's Day books-- and this one is set IN Punxsy!!  Plus, it obviously has Pretty in Pink vibes, so I'm down.

4.  Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen M. McManus- I really liked ONE OF US IS LYING.  It wasn't perfect, but it was fun.

5.  Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty- I've been on the library hold list for this book since it came out-- and I'm bound to get a turn with it before winter is over, right??

6.  That's Not What I Heard by Stephanie Kate Strohm- I love fun books like this every now and again.  Plus, I read IT'S NOT ME, IT'S YOU & found it adorable.

7.  We Told Six Lies by Victoria Scott- This sounds like my kind of thriller/mystery.

8.  My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix- This is happening.  It won my poll on which backlist book I should read next.

9.  The Dead Queens Club by Hannah Capin- I just got this in the mail the other day and I'd never heard of it, but the more I looked into it, the more fun it sounded.

10.  Famous in a Small Town by Emma Mills- Need I explain?

So that's my TBR for the future-- maybe.
What books are you planning to read this winter??

  1. What a great TBR!! I am so excited for the new Emma Mills and Megan Miranda books. I didn't love the new Liane Moriarty though. Hope you enjoy all of these :)

  3. I still haven't read anything by Liane Moriarty, but I am curious about Nine Perfect Strangers. My Winter TBR is mostly Christmas related books I've been wanting to read...other than that, my TBRs tend to be random and change if I get review books. hah

  8. I finished Famous yesterday. It was super fun and cute and everything I love about Emma Mills' books. I loved That Night. I didn't really hear anyone talking about it, and I was sad, because it was really good. I hope to get on a tour for Two Can Keep a Secret, because I loved McManus' debut too. I will always want to read a Stephanie Kate Strohm book. I love her!!!! I am nervous about Dead Queens, but I am going into it with an open mind, and PiP sounds like it will be great. I think I am reading that next week.

  9. I am so bad at sticking to a TBR, too! Famous in a Small Town is one I want to get to sooner rather than later, though, I've loved all of Emma Mills' books!

  10. I just finished The Dead Queens CLub and it is fantastic. It's very much the Tudors meet Mean Girls.

  11. I want to read quite a few of these! The only one I am in possession of at the moment is We Told Six Lies which I am SO excited for. Dead Queens I have heard SO many polarizing reviews: People LOVE it or HATE it and not much in between hah, but I am still curious enough to want to try. I am definitely excited for Two Can Keep a Secret too. And Come Find Me! I also really enjoy the author. And for some reason, That's Not What I Heard sounds really good to me, even though it's not my typical read? LOVE your choices, and I hope you enjoy them all!

  12. Oh yes I make these lists and then end up reading other stuff haha. But I keep making them. :) I love the look of Come Find Me and it sounds really intriguing and a little mysterious! Also Nine Perfect strangers and especially Two Can Keep A Secret are on my list too- can't wait for that one.
