Top Ten Tuesday-- Band Names

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme now hosted over at That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today (April 28th) I'm one of them :)

Today's Topic

Top Ten Book Titles That Would Make Good Band Names

  • I don't know what I was doing last week, but I missed the topic that I suggested!!!
  • I don't know where the idea for this came from, but I'm glad I suggested it because it was so fun to figure out which titles would make cool bands-- and what kind of bands they would be!!  It was fun for my imagination!

1.  Delirium (#1) by Lauren Oliver
  • Delirium could totally be a band name-- it could be a 70's psychedelic rock band, or some kind of EDM group.

2.  Good Me, Bad Me by Ali Land
  • Definitely a mainstream pop band.

3.  Last Seen Leaving by Caleb Roehrig
  • Again, totally mainstream.

4.  Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen
  • I could see this being a British rock band.

5.  Neverworld Wake by Marisha Pessl
  • 90's grunge.

6.  Wink Poppy Midnight by April Genevieve Tucholke
  • I don't know what kind of band this would be, but I like it!!

7.  Little Monsters by Kara Thomas
  • This was a toss up between this and Delicate Monsters. I went with this but either one would work.

8.  Imaginary Girls by Nova Ren Suma
  • Again, this was a toss up between this, Wilder Girls, and Those Girls.  This could be an 80's girl band like The Bangals or The Go-Go's.

9.  Brutal Youth by Anthony Breznican
  • I think this one is my favorite.  Totally a punk or post-punk band.

10.  Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero
  • Can we please get a band with this name?? I'm here for all the Scooby-Doo references!!

Honorable Mentions: The Lifeboat Clique, Those Girls, Ketchup Clouds, Dorothy Must Die, Crash and Burn, Hysteria, Will Grayson, Will Grayson

Which band would you listen to??  Pick a favorite!

  5. So many good ones. I mean, are you sure there isn't a band called Last Seen Leaving? Brutal Youth is definitely my favorite (makes me think of one of my fave bands, Sonic Youth)

  9. It was a fun topic you suggested, but I had a hard time with it and had to do something else. It was fun reading through other people's picks, though. Bummer that you missed your own topic :)

    Happy TTT!

  11. I wouldn't mind Saint Anything as a folk or bluegrass band since bluegrass is featured in the book. :D
