Top Ten Tuesday- Expected Favorites

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme created over at The Broke and The Bookish. Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today (March 29th) I'm one of them :)

Today's Topic

Top Ten Books I Hope Will Be 5 Star Reads

  • I almost did the original topic which was- Top Ten Latest 5 Star Reads.  But that list started to look like my "Best of 2015" list.  I guess I haven't read THAT many 5 star books in 2016 yet... which is why I hope THESE will be.  And I have a really really good feeling about a lot of them:

1.  You Know Me Well by David Levithan & Nina LaCour
  • Expected Release Date: June 7, 2016
  • Why I expect it to be fab: Because I LOVE Nina LaCour!!  I haven't read anything written by her yet that I haven't insanely loved.  And David Levithan isn't so bad either.

2.  Every Exquisite Thing by Matthew Quick
  • Expected Release Date: May 31, 2016
  • Why I expect it to be fab: Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock KILLED my emotions.  This one is about a reading a book that changes your life.  How could I not love that?

3.  With Malice by Eileen Cook
  • Expected Release Date: June 7, 2016
  • Why I expect it to be fab: Because I've been in a mystery mood, I've had good luck with Eileen Cook's books in the past, and I also kind of love the "I can't remember" trope.

4.  Never Missing, Never Found by Amanda Panitch
  • Expected Release Date: June 28, 2016
  • Why I expect it to be fab: Because it sort of sounds like Vanishing Girls, and I loved that.

5.  The Outliers (#1) by Kimberly McCreight
  • Expected Release Date: May 3, 2016
  • Why I expect it to be fab: I've loved both of this author's previous books.  They were really good mysteries full of newspaper articles, blog posts, and other cool additions.

6.  How it Ends by Catherine Lo
  • Expected Release Date: June 7, 2016
  • Why I expect it to be fab: I love books about complicated friendships.

7.  A Week of Mondays by Jessica Brody
  • Expected Release Date: August 2, 2016
  • Why I expect it to be fab: I loved 52 Reasons to Hate My Father and this is the first book she's written since then that has that same cute/funny/sassy-vibe.

8.  738 Days by Stacey Kade
  • Expected Release Date: June 7, 2016
  • Why I expect it to be fab: I haven't read anything by Stacey Kade since The Ghost and the Goth series ended, and I feel it's long overdue.

9.  100 Days of Cake by Shari Goldhagen
  • Expected Release Date: May 17, 2016
  • Why I expect it to be fab: I think this sounds equally serious and fun.  I don't read a ton of books about mental illness, but I like the description of this one.

10.  Afterward by Jennifer Mathieu
  • Expected Release Date: September 20, 2016
  • Why I expect it to be fab: This author writes books about TOUGH subjects.  That makes me excited.

Do you want to or have you already read any of these?  What were your recent/future favorites???

  11. Ooh, I love how you spun the topic for this week! I generally have a good feeling about books as well, after being such a voracious reader for years. I know what my tastes are, and most of the time, I'm not disappointed. I hope A Week of Mondays and Afterward will be 5 star reads for me too, especially the latter. I've loved both of Jennifer's previous books, so I have no doubt about her newest! Thanks so much for stopping by my top ten. :)
