Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a really cool original feature/weekly meme created over at The Broke and The Bookish.  Each week they post a new Top Ten List that bloggers join in on answering... and today I'm one of them :)
This week (April 3) the topic is:

Top Ten Books To Read In A Day

Well I pretty much did this topic last week with my "play hooky" books.  I chose books that I thought were good enough to be read straight through.  Ohh well I guess I'll come up with some more... maybe some short books that could easily be read in a day?

1.  I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell By: Tucker Max- Although not everyone will appreciate the humor that is in this book, I found it awesome!!  Oh Tucker why do I think you are such a dick yet for some odd reason feel like I want to make out with you??  It's so funny I would've definitely read it all in a day if I had the time.

2.  You Don't Know Me By: David Klass- I love this one!  It's not that long and it's so powerful, it's a one day read for sure!

3.  Party By: Tom Leveen- It's super short and totally addicting!  Can't wait for Zero!

4.  Some Girls Are By: Courtney Summers- I did read this in one day.... actually one very long night, where I couldn't stop reading it until I finished (even though it was after 4am)... I love Courtney Summers!!!

5.  In Her Shoes By: Jennifer Weiner- Ok it's not the shortest book, but it's really good!

6.  The Pact By: Jodi Picoult- Again not the shortest book either, but I read this super fast because I had to find out what happened!!!! (Also I'm not the biggest Picoult fan, but I loved this one.)

7.  The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band By: Motley Crue- I guess I have weird humor in that I like nasty stuff (see I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell), but this book was awesome!!  I was riveted!

8.  Living Dead Girl By: Elizabeth Scott- I try not to recommend this one cause it's SO hard to read, especially for me because I have a child, but it's one that if you did read it, you wouldn't be able to put it down.  I finished this in one day just because I didn't want it on my brain anymore... too scary!

9.  20 Times A Lady By: Karyn Bosnak- Was made into a movie that I didn't see but I'm sure sucked.  This book was so laugh-out-loud funny, it's totally a one day read!

10.  The Princess Diaries By: Meg Cabot- It was a little young for my liking, but still really cute and a really quick read!

So yeah it's sort of an odd list... there's some on there because they are awesome, some because they are short (but still awesome) and therefor easily read in a day, and some that you have to continue reading bc it sucks you in!

That's my list.... What are yours????

  5. Love In Her Shoes! And The Princess Diaries, oh my gosh, I adore that series. I kind of cheated a bit on my list this week and put Meg Cabot as I couldn't just pick one of her books or one of her series ;)

  8. I need to check out Some Girls Are, especially if it's a stay-up-all-night-to-finish kind of book! And I've been meaning to read In Her Shoes, too. Thanks for stopping by my list!
