  1. I can't believe I forgot Sarah Dessen! Maybe it's because it's been a while since she's had a book out...I can't wait to read Saint Anything! I love E. Lockhart and Courtney Summers. It was hard to narrow it down to only ten. I would have added Maggie Stiefvater if it was a top 20. Great list!

    1. I'm really excited for Saint Anything too!!!

  2. Love Courtney Summers and Laurie Halse Anderson's realistic, intense stories. And I completely agree with 3, 6, 7, 8 and 9!

    Fabulous top ten!

  3. Great list! I can't believe I didn't think of R.L. Stine. I loved reading his books growing up. J.K. Rowling made my list as well. Sarah Dessen is another one of my favorites I forgot to add to my list. And the rest of the authors on your list are ones that I have been wanting to read. Love it!

  4. You've got so many brilliant authors on your list! I could have put R.L Stine on my list this week too! I love Laurie Halse Anderson too. Thank you for stopping by my blog earlier. :-)

  5. Great list Michelle, Rowling obviously made my list too! Definitely need to re-read HP this year :-) Here's my TTT if you would like to check it out :-) Have a great day!

  6. R.L. Stine! Amazing choice! I was obsessed with Goosebumps as a kid! I haven't actually read a lot of these authors. I really need to read A.S. King and Laurie Halse Anderson. I've heard great things. Great list!

  7. Yay for J.K Rowling. I really need to read Courtney Summers books.

  8. I've heard so many good things about AS King (though apparently some of the books are a little weird?) and Speak, but sadly haven't gotten to them yet! Speak is one I want to read for sure. R x

  9. Speak -was- a wonderful read! I need to start reading Sarah Dessen - I keep hearing good things about her. Great list :)

  10. I also called Sarah Dessen the Queen of Contemporary on my list--high five! My favorite book of hers is ALONG FOR THE RIDE. If you haven't read THE IMPOSSIBLE KNIFE OF MEMORY by Laurie Halse Anderson you should--it's my favorite book of 2014 and super duper good.

  11. I have yet to read anything by Laurie Halse Anderson, but I have no doubt that her books will be amazing. I already have several of her books on my TBR list, and I can't wait to read them because they all seem to be just my kind of read! :D
