New Books Out Week of 3/29

These are the books I'm obsessing over this week:

By: Sarah Darer Littman
Lara thought Christian was about to ask her to the dance, but all of a sudden he slams her on Facebook, making her feel like she made it all up in her head.  When online life and real life collide, things can get out of hand really fast.

By: Suzanne van Rooyen
Tyri and Quinn both love music and are both accepted to the Baldur Junior Philharmonic Orchestra.  The thing is, Quinn is an android, and Tyri is a human.  With the city on the brink of civil war, Tyri and Quinn find they might be falling for each other... and the whole world is against them.

By: Emery Lord
A year after her boyfriend's death, Paige is trying to start over... and she has a plan.  Top of the list is getting her former crush, Ryan, to date her.  But then she starts hanging out with Ryan's cousin Max at Quiz Bowl, and nothing goes to according to plan.

By: Heather Brewer
Stephen moves to Spencer, Michigan and is not pleased with the backward town.  He falls in with a group of kids including twins, Devon and Cara.  While his relationship with both grows more complicated, he learns of an urban legend the town believes in involving sacrifices.  While Stephen doesn't really put much stock into it, it seems the group he's been hanging out with just might be taking it deadly serious.

By: Kieran Scott
4 teens on a camping trip lose their way in the woods and stumble upon a stranger and then a dead body.  From there things get terrifying as things get more dangerous and out of control.

By: Elizabeth Wein
A Historical Fiction featuring a family that moves from America to Ethiopia in the 1930's to escape discrimination, and end up getting drawn into the threat of war with the Italians.

By: Lisa Yee
When Higgs Boson Bing gets asked if he would give his girlfriend a kidney if she needed it, it starts a chain of events in his head, leading him to question all his achievements and future plans.

(#1)
By: Kady Cross
Everyone thinks Lark is crazy because she can talk to her dead twin sister Wren.  Lark is just getting out of the psych ward after a failed suicide attempt when some people at school need her help with a spirit who is trying to kill them.

By: Alice Oseman
Tori is a self-professed pessimist who likes to sleep and blog.  Then she makes friends with the new kid, Michael, and a group called Solitaire starts pranking the school.... and even though she wants everybody to think she doesn't care, maybe things are changing.

(Loop #2)
By: Karen Akins
The 2nd book in the Loop duology.

Other Books Coming Out This Week:

Woah!!!  This is a good week!  I am SO excited for Backlash, The Start of Me and You, new Kieran Scott, and Cemetery Boys.  I am still on the fence about the Dorothy Must Die series.  First, I didn't LOVE the first book.  Let's be honest, the love interest in it was less than good.  Then the author tweeted support for she-who-will-not-be-named.... I don't think I can do it.

What are you reading this week??

  1. I've never heard of Backlash before, but I'm interested in books connected to social media. Sisters of Blood ad Spirit seems right up my alley since I love books with psych wards! Thanks so much for sharing, Michelle!
